It was another unusual round in the Telstra Premiership but the NRL got through all eight games after extending the schedule into Monday.

Saturday's snap lockdown in South-East Queensland led to three matches being postponed until Sunday, with the remaining two games delayed more than 24 hours to Monday night.

After the Roosters, Warriors and Broncos kicked off the round on Thursday and Friday with wins over the Eels, Tigers and Cowboys respectively, Sunday's action kicked off with Newcastle upsetting Canberra to join them on the fringe of the top eight on 18 points.

Melbourne trounced Penrith in the middle game on Sunday before the Rabbbitohs downed the Dragons in the third fixture of the Suncorp Stadium triple-header.

The Titans climbed into the eight when they beat the Bulldogs on Monday before Tom Trbojevic's stunning hat-trick carried Manly to a big win over the Sharks.
