Tom Trbojevic is giving runaway leader Nathan Cleary a run for his money in the race for the Dally M Medal.

Trbojevic scored his fifth match of three votes to rise into third on the leaderboard, two adrift of second-placed Warriors skipper Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, with Cleary four clear in first on 21 after 11 rounds.

Voting will no longer be publicised after next round.

Tommy Turbo's efforts for the Sea Eagles in Sunday's win over Parramatta came on an emotional day for the club.

Sea Eagles Immortal Bob Fulton died earlier on Sunday and his former club paid tribute to their legendary captain and coach by demolishing the Eels, a win which has lifted them to sixth on the ladder.

The Sea Eagles wore black armbands and held an emotional pre-game embrace for Fulton, who died aged 74 after a private battle with cancer.

In Sunday's other match, Penrith made it 11 on the trot with an emphatic win over Souths while the upset of the round came on Saturday night at the SCG when Brisbane surprised the Roosters with an inspired display.
