In a disappointing year for Brisbane, hard-working lock Pat Carrigan never stopped trying, finishing the season topping the VB Hard Earned index for round 20.
While Carrigan was the star from an individual perspective, the Titans and Dragons each provided three players in the team of the week.
His team may have fallen to a wooden spoon-sealing defeat but Carrigan was again relentless, pumping out 54 tackles and 189 metres in 80 minutes.
Each player's VB Hard Earned index score is calculated by doubling their total runs and adding a point for every tackle, offload, decoy, support, charge down and tackle break.
Negative plays lower the index score. One point is taken off per missed tackle, while errors and penalties cost four points. Being sin-binned results in eight points being subtracted.
Titans trio, winger Anthony Don (49 points), centre Brian Kelly (55 points) and prop Moeaki Fotuaika (92 points) all found their way into the VB Hard Earned team of the week after starring in their side's 36-6 win over Newcastle to close out the regular season.
A morale-boosting final-round win for the Dragons came with the aid of big games from Euan Aitken (58 points), Tyson Frizell (87 points) and skipper Cam McInnes (65 points).
Manly lock Jake Trbojevic did enough in the final round to catch consistent Warrior Tohu Harris, with the pair finishing even atop the VB Hard Earned leaderboard after 20 weeks on 1829 points for the year.
