Cowboys forward Josh McGuire will be suspended this round after being found guilty of a dangerous contact charge at the judiciary on Tuesday.
McGuire was hit with a grade one charge of making dangerous contact to the head or neck of Sea Eagles five-eighth Cade Cust in Friday night's loss and, with two recent offences and 25 carry-over points to his name, faced suspension whether he entered an early plea or was found guilty at the judiciary.
David Klemmer was also found guilty at the judiciary on Tuesday night of a grade one contrary conduct charge levied against him. He was fined $1150. Had he entered an early guilty plea he would have received an $850 fine.
Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt (contrary conduct charge over a 12th-minute incident involving Cust) and forward Mitchell Dunn (tripping) both took the early plea and accepted $550 fines.
Melbourne lock Dale Finucane avoided suspension with an early guilty plea after being hit with a grade one dangerous contact charge on Brisbane's Tom Flegler.
Russell Packer charged over crusher tackle
Wests Tigers prop Russell Packer will serve a one-match ban after pleading guilty to a crusher-style tackle in the loss to Parramatta on Thursday night.
The Kiwi international was charged with grade one dangerous contact to the head/neck over an incident in the 24th minute in a tackle on Eels skipper Clint Gutherson.
Earlier this season, Packer pleaded guilty to a grade-three careless high tackle charge and missed two matches.
