The National Rugby League (NRL) can provide the following update on integrity matters.
BREACH NOTICES
Cody Walker (South Sydney Rabbitohs)
The NRL today issued Cody Walker with a breach notice which alleges he brought the game into disrepute when he intervened in a street fight in Casino, NSW in late 2019.
The breach notice proposes a two-match suspension, to be served in Rounds 3 and 4, and a fine of $15,000 (with payment to be suspended for 12 months).
Walker has five business days to respond to the Breach Notice but is provisionally suspended from playing during the response period.
South Sydney Rabbitohs
The NRL today issued the South Sydney Rabbitohs with a breach notice in relation to an alleged failure to promptly disclose the incident involving Walker.
All Clubs and club officials have a duty to report any incident which may lead to a breach of NRL rules, including suspected breaches, and NRL Clubs are responsible for ensuring compliance.
The NRL proposes South Sydney be fined $20,000. The Club has five business days to respond to the Breach Notice.
DETERMINATIONS
Josh Addo-Carr (Melbourne Storm)
Following careful consideration of Addo-Carr’s response, the NRL today determined it will impose the proposed sanction previously outlined in Addo-Carr’s breach notice.
Addo-Carr has been fined $50,000 (60 per cent suspended for 12 months) and suspended for one match (suspended for 12 months).
Latrell Mitchell (South Sydney Rabbitohs)
Following careful consideration of Mitchell’s response, the NRL today determined it will impose the proposed sanction previously outlined in Mitchell’s breach notice.
Mitchell has been fined $50,000 (60 per cent suspended for 12 months) and suspended for one match (suspended for 12 months).
Tyronne Roberts-Davis (Newcastle Knights)
Following careful consideration of Roberts-Davis’ response, the NRL today determined it will impose the proposed sanction previously outlined in Roberts-Davis’ breach notice.
Roberts-Davis has been fined $10,000 (60 per cent suspended for 12 months) and suspended for one match (suspended for 12 months).
