Rugby league icons: Arthur Beetson
The first Indigenous person to captain Australia in any sport, he led Queensland in the inaugural State of Origin match in 1980, was a star for Redcliffe, Balmain, the Roosters and Parramatta. There are none bigger in rugby league history than the late, great seventh Immortal who passed away in 2011.
