Player agent Gavin Orr's appeal against his accreditation being cancelled has been dismissed by the NRL Appeals Committee.

Alongside brother Chris, Orr operates Pacific Sports Management, whose stable of stars includes the likes of Daly Cherry-Evans, Jason Taumalolo, Chad Townsend, Payne Haas, Josh Addo-Carr and Jack Bird.

Gavin Orr's registration was initially cancelled last December by the governing body after he "had knowingly been involved in the payment of amounts to one of his players which were not disclosed to the NRL salary cap auditor," an NRL statement read.

Orr sought leave to appeal that decision through the NRL's Appeals Committee, chaired by Ian Callinan alongside former Kangaroos internationals Michael Cleary and Max Krillich.

The appeals committee found Orr's actions in flouting salary cap regulations were "deliberate and done with knowledge of the seriousness of the breach; and the cancellation of Mr Orr’s accreditation as a result of those actions was an appropriate response."

At the time of Orr's deregistration fellow leading agent Issac Moses was also issued with a breach notice to "show cause why his accreditation should not be suspended or cancelled".

The breaches alleged against Moses pertained to "counselling a person to not co-operate fully with the NRL Integrity and Compliance Unit."

Moses has denied any wrongdoing and vowed to defend the allegation with the matter ongoing.
