Melbourne Storm has added to its backline depth for the 2020 NRL season by signing Brenko Lee to a one-year contract.
Lee has been training with Storm over pre-season after originally signing with feeder club Brisbane Easts in the Queensland Intrust Super Cup.
The 24-year-old comes to Storm with 53 games of NRL experience on his record after making his debut with the Canberra Raiders in the 2014 season.
A junior from Logan Brothers, also the junior club of Storm’s record-breaking captain Cameron Smith, Lee played 15 matches for the Raiders, 18 for Canterbury in 2017 and 20 across two seasons with the Gold Coast Titans, crossing for a total of 20 tries.
His representative career includes appearances for Tonga, the Junior Kangaroos and Queensland under-20s.
Lee will remain eligible to play for Easts Tigers when he is not part of Storm’s matchday NRL squad.
