Melbourne five-eighth Cameron Munster thinks Saturday night's golden point loss to Manly might be the wake-up call his side requires to help them claim premiership glory this season.
The Storm went into round 19 looking for a 10th consecutive victory but a Daly Cherry-Evans field goal in the final minute of extra-time put the exclamation mark on a stunning 11-10 win for Manly.
It means the Storm's lead at the top of the Telstra Premiership ladder is back to four points ahead of a monster clash with the in-form Brisbane Broncos on Friday.
Munster hopes his team-mates will learn from their gut-wrenching loss to the Sea Eagles and use it to spur them on to greater things this season.

"I have got a bit of a theory about that. It is like going all the season undefeated and losing in the grand final and you don’t want to do that," Munster said.
"You always need to lose a couple of games during the year to pull you back a bit.
"It’s a learning curve and a wake-up call for us.”
After travelling to Brisbane in round 20 the Storm then face the Rabbitohs in Gosford before they return home to face off against the Raiders in round 22.
Munster said his team's destiny is in their own hands if they want to finish the regular season on a high and enter the finals in good shape.
"Manly are a top side and they are going to be a team to beat this year and we need to be better against those top-four sides," Munster said.

"We have got Manly again [in round 24], we have the Broncos, we have the Raiders and Souths, so three out of those four games will be against top-four sides."
"We can't keep dishing that up in the first 30 or 40 minutes and expect to come back in the second half.
"If we do that in the back end in the finals then we will end up getting pumped so we can’t do that."
