It was a case of quality over quantity this round as a few standout scorers made up for the absence of all Origin players and half the NRL clubs in the second and final bye week of the season.
Winners
In a week when most Fantasy coaches didn't have a lot of players in action, getting the right captain was all the more important and Payne Haas (78) and Cameron Smtih (76) both stepped up with bumper scores.
Tigers forward Ryan Matterson scored a try against his old team the Roosters and also finished on 78, while Josh Morris (78) grabbed a hat-trick for Cronulla on Sunday.
Other notable scorers this round included Tevita Pangai jnr (64), Dragons hooker Cameron McInnes (63) and Roosters centre Latrell Mitchell (60).
Losers
Any points are better than nothing in bye rounds, but some big guns didn't quite hit the heights their coaches would have been hoping for in a week when it was possible to make a big leap up the overall points ladder.
Get Caught Up: Round 16
Shaun Johnson (31) was hooked in the final few moments of the Sharks' loss to Brisbane, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (35) couldn't match the big scoring of the previous two weeks despite the Warriors beating Newcastle, and Ryan Papenhuyzen (20) was again stuck on the Storm bench despite Melbourne missing their Origin players.
