Mitchell Moses was the star of the week while Raiders recruit John Bateman is quickly becoming the most popular player in Fantasy in a high-scoring round marred by a blow for Robbie Farah owners.
Winners
It was the Mitch Moses show on Monday as the Eels piled on the points against a stunned Wests Tigers outfit in the first NRL game at Parramatta's Bankwest Stadium, with the No.7 scoring a long-range try, kicking nine goals and providing three try assists in a performance worth a massive 97 Fantasy points.
He was the pick of round six ahead of Canberra's English sensation (and permanent captaincy option) John Bateman, who scored 80 with a try against Brisbane. He ranks second amongst all players for Fantasy average in 2019, behind Daly Cherry-Evans who scored 73 in Manly's tight loss to the Dragons.
Popular cash cow Payne Haas not only started up front for Brisbane but he played the full 80 minutes for 60 points and another huge price rise worth $85,000.
Cameron Smith's Storm were pipped at the post by a Latrell Mitchell field goal but Smith was at his masterful best for the Storm on Friday night – even without the kicking duties – scoring a superb 77 against the Roosters.
Top 5 Fantasy cash cows: Round 6
Penrith may be struggling but Nathan Cleary's Fantasy prospects look to be back on track after the Panthers halfback scored a try and bagged 78 Fantasy points to bump his season average above 50 and earn his first price rise of 2019.
Kalyn Ponga's return to the fullback role has coincided with a dramatic improvement in his Fantasy scoring, racking up 71 against the Titans despite Newcastle's heavy loss.
It was a great start to the round for the Sharks with Andrew Fifita defying fears of a dodgy hamstring to score 71 (with a try), while cash cows Briton Nikora (68), Bronson Xerri (59) and Kurt Capewell (54) all thrived along with Shaun Johnson (55) in Cronulla's comeback over Penrith.
Eels Michael Jennings (69) and Reed Mahoney (68) also shone on Monday, Rabbitohs guns Cameron Murray (63) and Damien Cook (61) impressed against the Bulldogs, Warriors lock and cash cow Lachlan Burr made 63 against the Cowboys to earn another $70k while Aidan Tolman played 70 minutes up front and scored 59 against Souths.
Losers
Two weeks ago rookie Bulldogs winger Jayden Okunbor was one of the hottest properties in Fantasy, having bulldozed Cameron Smith a couple of times in a stunning 67-point effort against the Melbourne Storm. Since then his prospects have nosedived, making five errors, three missed tackles and just two tackle busts with scores of 15 and 11, and the would-be cash cow is now looking like a possible sell.
It's a similar story for Manly winger Reuben Garrick, who dipped in value after finished on -2 in the Sea Eagles' loss to the Dragons.
In terms of injuries the big blow was an early head knock to Robbie Farah, who finished on 8 points in a terrible result for those who had him as captain. Expect to see him return this week.
