Round 1 charges: Jennings, Fonua-Blake, Lodge cop suspensions

Parramatta centre Michael Jennings has copped a one-match ban over a high tackle, while Matthew Lodge and Addin Fonua-Blake also received suspensions from round one.

Jennings has been hit with a grade two careless high tackle charge for his 54th-minute hit on Isaah Yeo on Sunday.

He will miss one match if he pleads guilty or is found guilty at the judiciary.

Panthers centre Waqa Blake accepted a $1,350 fine over a contrary conduct charge over an incident involving Parramatta's Mitch Moses.

Manly prop Fonua-Blake has copped a one-week suspension after being charged for two dangerous contact offences in his side's loss to Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday.

The Sea Eagles' big man was charged for an eighth-minute challenge of a Benji Marshall kick and for a 36th-minute incident involving Wests Tigers prop Russell Packer.

Fonua-Blake pleaded guilty to both charges. 

In the other incident to attract the attention of the judiciary in that match, Manly forward Joel Thompson has been fined $1350 following a tripping offence on Corey Thompson in the 52nd minute.

Roosters centre Latrell Mitchell was fined $1650 after being charged by the match review committee for a high tackle on Sam Burgess in Friday night's 26-16 loss to the Rabbitohs.

Mitchell was at the centre of a heated clash with South players in the game's closing seconds but it was his 55th-minute shot on Burgess which earned the NSW Origin star a grade one careless high tackle charge.

Brisbane prop Lodge has accepted a two-match ban over a dangerous tackle charge on Melbourne five-eighth Cameron Munster in Thursday night's season-opener.

Lodge will miss Friday's home game against North Queensland and the round-three home meeting with the Dragons.
