One week on from the close of the 2018 Holden State of Origin series, Perth will get its chance to secure a piece of Australia's great sporting rivalry for the first time.

Special earlybird General Public tickets go on sale for Holden State of Origin in 2019 in Perth tomorrow (Wednesday, July 18) at 8am (AWST).

The NRL has announced that the Perth Origin will be the second match of the 2019 series, and will be played on Sunday, June 23 at Optus Stadium.

The Sunday standalone match will be the first time, barring the 1987 exhibition match in Los Angeles, an Origin match has been played outside of the eastern states of Australia.

Adult tickets will be available from $48 while family tickets will be available from $140.

Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues Coach Brad Fittler and Queensland Maroons Coach Kevin Walters both toured Optus Stadium today ahead of the release of General Admission tickets.

Tickets are already on sale for both ticketed and non-ticketed Club members.

"We know Origin in Perth is going to be something very special," NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo said.

"The stadium is a wonderful state-of-the-art facility and it will be incredible to witness Australian sport's greatest rivalry on this stage.

"Western Australia is strategically important for our game and following the success of the NRL Premiership double header earlier this year, State of Origin in Perth next year provides our fans an opportunity to experience the excitement of an event in an outstanding venue and location.

"I'd encourage all of our supporters to get in early to secure the best seats at the best prices and have the ultimate Origin experience at this wonderful venue."

Holden State of Origin II in 2019 is proudly supported by the Western Australian Government through Tourism WA.

WA Deputy Premier Roger Cook said hosting the standalone Sunday Origin would be a significant boost for the local economy.

"Western Australians have proven they have a strong appetite for Rugby League, with NRL games in Perth growing in popularity," Mr Cook said.

"We are expecting thousands of fans to make the trip west to be at the game, and millions more to watch the live television broadcast."
