Kane Evans in action for Wentworthville.

An racial slur allegation against Parramatta Eels recruit Kane Evans has been withdrawn.

Evans was accused of a racial slur while playing for Wentworthville against the Warriors in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW at ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

"NSW Rugby League has withdrawn charges against Kane Evans for an alleged incident during Saturday's NSW Cup game against the Warriors," the Eels said in a statement on Thursday.

"The Parramatta Eels Club will not make any further comment as the matter is now closed."

Evans, who has played four NRL games for the Eels since joining the club from the Roosters this season, was alleged to have made the comments with four minutes remaining in Wentworthville's 36-6 loss to the Warriors.

Warriors second-rower Joseph Vuna made the complaint to the on-field referee Todd Smith, who placed Evans on report.
