Jamie Soward has described Billy Slater as the best "big game" fullback he’s seen.
Soward described Slater as a "halfback’s nightmare" ahead of the champion fullback’s 300th NRL match for the Melbourne Storm on Saturday.
"He changed the way fullbacks played," Soward told the NRL Podcast. "He just has answers for everything."
In wake of Wayne Bennett"s public spray aimed at under-fire Brisbane halves Anthony Milford and Kodi Nikorima, Soward also revealed the worst dressing-down he got from the super coach.
Surprisingly, it came when Soward was a reigning Telstra Premiership-winner with the St George Illawarra Dragons and the incumbent New South Wales Origin five-eighth.
