NRL.com host Hayley Byrnes is joined by resident Fantasy expert Chris Kennedy, former NRL player Steve Turner and guru Dom Brock for the second episode of the NRL Fantasy Podcast, presented by Youi.
Over the next few weeks the team will look at the top 10 most popular buys by position and this week we focused on WFBs and CTRs, as well as the players who feature in both as dual position players.
Taane Milne ($228k) has been the number one recruited centre to date following his move from the St George Illawarra Dragons to the Wests Tigers, while Peta Hiku ($283k) and Dane Gagai ($631k) round out the top three.
The winger/fullback on everyone’s radar is young gun Kalyn Ponga ($552k). He’s available at a discount from his average last year because he played less than 10 Telstra Premiership games.
The 19-year old averaged 49 in his first six games of 2017 and following an impressive trial in his new look colours last week, the Knights number one looks a fantasy must if he can continue that form. He has also taken on the goalkicking duties for 2018.
Other notable favourites among the No.1s are James Tedesco ($761k) and Greg Inglis ($503k).
