NRL Fantasy 2018
Tohu Harris, 2RF, $615,000
Storm premiership-winner Tohu Harris heads across the ditch to hopefully help the Warriors correct what is becoming a worrying trend of underperformance. After missing a large chunk of football at the start of last year Harris eventually hit his straps in his final season at the club.
Scoring potential: 4/5
Harris's season-high 96, featuring two tries, came in round 26 while the 75 he notched in the grand final win doesn't factor into his price as it occurred outside the Fantasy season. He only averaged 42 for the year but the 52 he averaged in 2016 is a better indication of his Fantasy potential. That season included eight tries (he scored just three last year) and he played 27 games rather than 14, regularly racking up big numbers in terms of tackles and run metres.
Reliability: 3/5
Aside from his injury-hampered 2017 Harris has hardly missed a match since his NRL debut, playing at least 25 games every season before last year. As a Kiwi he has no Origin concerns and he's an automatic starter when available. His reliability as a scorer took a hit last year (two scores under 20) with just three regular-season scores over 50.
Value: 3/5
While $615,000 isn't exactly cheap, Harris is more than capable of matching his early-season break-even of 42. A return to 2016 Fantasy form would see him climb around $150,000 which is very much attainable, suggesting Harris could be a genuine cut-price keeper.
