Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs assistant coach Jim Dymock is leaving the club to take up an assistant role with the Cronulla Sharks.
Dymock, a former Bulldogs player, has been an assistant at the club since 2008 but will move on after missing out on the head coaching role vacated by Des Hasler.
"Jim has been a tremendous servant of the Bulldogs club, both as a player and a coach," chairman Ray Dib said.
"During the recent interview process for the Head Coaching role that we gave to Dean Pay, Jim presented extremely well and it was a very tough call to make.
"We understand, however, Jim's desire to be a head coach and although we are very sad to see him leave, he does so with our best wishes.
"He will always be welcomed back to the Bulldogs."
Dymock thanked the Bulldogs but said it was time to make the move for the sake of his career.
"I have had a fantastic time at the Bulldogs, both as a player and coach. The club will always have a special place in my heart and I take away some great memories," Dymock said.
"Right now, though, I just felt as though the time is right for a fresh start as I look to continue my coaching career, with a view towards becoming a head coach one day. I wish the Bulldogs every success for the future."
