Two turbo-charged Manly performances, a trio of Titans who revelled in the big wet and a 19-year-old with one of the individual displays of the season highlight the Round 19 Team of the Week.
1. Tom Trbojevic (Sea Eagles)
Even as the Sea Eagles went in down at half-time Tommy Turbo was a standout, the interplay that led to brother Jake's try midway through the second half exquisite. Two try assists, two line breaks and 217 run metres.
2. Nene Macdonald (Dragons)
Like many of his Dragons teammates didn't deserve to be on the losing side, delivering a powerhouse performance on the right wing that yielded a try and 247 run metres, including a run late in the game that should have helped wrap up the two competition points.
3. Tautau Moga (Broncos)
As his confidence grows so does the Brisbane centre's contribution, coming up with eight tackles busts, two line breaks, a try, two offloads and 173 run metres against the Knights.
4. Konrad Hurrell (Titans)
Scored the opening try of the night as the rain tumbled down and produced numerous tough carries to get his team on the front foot.
5. Matthew Wright (Sea Eagles)
After coming in for the injured Trbojevic a couple of months ago has established himself as a key member of the Sea Eagles side, producing two terrific finishes for tries against the Tigers on Sunday.
6. Aidan Sezer (Raiders)
May not have set the world on fire for the first 60 minutes but single-handedly took the game away from the Dragons and earned his side a critical two points, running 90 metres to score from an intercept and delivering the most important 40/20 of the season to give his side position to score the go-ahead try in golden point.
7. Nathan Cleary (Panthers)
The performance of the week by a mile. With captain and five-eighth Matt Moylan out it was Cleary who took ownership of the Panthers and delivered in spades, scoring three tries himself, setting up two others, kicking five goals and doing absolutely all of Penrith's kicking in general play. And the kid's 19. Astonishing.
8. Korbin Sims (Broncos)
Revelled in his return to the Hunter, scoring the crucial try to kill off Newcastle's brave effort to go with 106 run metres and seven tackle busts.
9. Jake Granville (Cowboys)
Sensational display from the Cowboys' No.9, laying on tries for Jason Taumalolo and Coen Hess with perfectly-timed passes close to the line and scoring another himself in the second half.
10. Aaron Woods (Wests Tigers)
Did everything to lift his team to an upset win against Manly, running for 205 metres and making 36 tackles along with three offloads.
11. Kevin Proctor (Titans)
His best performance since joining the Titans, Proctor's running game threatened the Sharks all night, eventually breaking through off an Ash Taylor pass to run around and score beside the posts in the 49th minute. Ran for 147m and made 37 tackles.
12. Alex Glenn (Broncos)
Promoted to the starting side in the absence of two of Brisbane's Origin stars Glenn brought his customary energy to the contest, running for 179m, making 32 tackles and busting three tackles in an 80-minute effort.
13. Jake Trbojevic (Sea Eagles)
One of the few Blues to come out of Origin with their reputation enhanced, Trbojevic continued his remarkable rise in the NRL, finishing off a wonderful movement to score his fifth try of the season to go with 155m and 25 tackles.
Interchange
14. Ashley Taylor (Titans)
In his best and most mature performance of the season Taylor ran the ball in atrocious conditions to devastating effect, scoring twice himself, setting up two others and producing a kicking game that totally dictated terms against the defending premiers.
15. Reagan Campbell-Gillard (Panthers)
Part of a Panthers bench that came on midway through the first half and changed the tone of the game, helping to make up for the loss of Trent Merrin. RCG thundered into the Warriors defence for a game-high 181m, 59 of which came after contact.
16. Dave Taylor (Raiders)
Showed just how devastating he can still be in the NRL, bending the Dragons defence in an initial 11-minute stint that yielded 62 run metres and then coming back late to deliver an offload at just the right time for Elliott Whitehead to score the match-winner in golden point.
17. Jack de Belin (Dragons)
Although he started from the bench de Belin came on the injured Russell Packer after six minutes and played the rest of the game, amassing 197m and 43 tackles along with ball-playing at the line that helped his side open up a lead they just couldn't build on to put the Raiders away.
