Sports fans worldwide are set to get an in-depth look at the birth of North America’s first trans-Atlantic professional sports team – the Toronto Wolfpack of the UK’s 120-year old Rugby Football League (RFL) – as “Last Tackle – Inside the Toronto Wolfpack” to 50 Million households in the U.S. and globally across the rugby community.
“Last Tackle – Inside the Toronto Wolfpack” Episode 2 will be available online at www.LastTackle.TV from 25th June 2017.
An original ‘docu-follow’ series, Last Tackle – Inside the Toronto Wolfpack cameras take viewers on an unprecedented journey through the development of a pro sports team. What were previously considered “no-go” areas in terms of editorial documentation, such as pre and post-game locker room access, players’ living quarters and the oft-times ‘spirited’ banter between the hard-playing/fun-living rugby league players is now all fair game.
Last Tackle is produced by former rugby league players and is designed to broaden the global audience and introduce new players and fans to the unique, inclusive culture of rugby. Last Tackle CEO, Adam Fogerty: “All of us want to give back something to this great game and to recognize the tremendous support we’ve received from all; the rugby league family across the world particularly here in Australia who have welcomed us so strongly into the fold!”
“I can guarantee die-hard sports fans will find Last Tackle – Inside the Toronto Wolfpack not only thoroughly enjoying, but in many cases beyond what they’ve ever experienced with a documentary,” said Last Tackle CEO Adam Fogerty.
Last Tackle is designed to help educate people unfamiliar with Rugby League and bring new fans and players to our great sport, with the Wolfpack's Director of Rugby Brian Noble offering interesting bite size insights into the various features of the sport as the series progresses.
Viewers will be introduced to some of the Wolfpack's many stars, with the microscope this time on the six time Super League champion and ex-Leeds Rhino Ryan Bailey.
Last Tackle offers viewers the chance to experience unrivaled access to the everyday running of the Wolfpack, with particular reference in this episode on the logistics and planning coming to fruition as the club make history by playing their first ever rugby league match on Canadian soil.
