Supporters are encouraged to act quickly to secure tickets to Holden State of Origin II after a surge in sales following the NSW VB Blues’ Game One victory.

NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo today said there had been a spike in tickets sold since the Blues’ victory over the XXXX Maroons on Wednesday night.

"Origin Two looks like being one of the most highly anticipated interstate games in recent memory," NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo said.

"We have seen a significant surge in ticket sales immediately following the game and throughout Thursday, but there are some great tickets still available.

"Blues fans are clearly keen to see their team on the back of a wonderful performance on Wednesday night."

Wednesday night’s opening Origin attracted a national peak audience of 4.046 million, and a national average audience of 3.527 million.

On social media, 6.8 million unique users tuned into Origin’s official Facebook channels on game day, while there were 1.4 million tweet impressions on game day from the @nrl Twitter account.

Holden State of Origin II will feature a pre-match performance by Australian rockers Grinspoon as part of an entertainment spectacular.

Those supporters who have already purchased tickets are encouraged to take their seats early to catch the pre-match entertainment, which will also include a lights out display and pyrotechnics.

The pre-match entertainment will also feature the launch of an innovative new Blatchys Blues SMARTWiG for Game Two.

The Blatchys SMARTWiG - with an LED antenna to light up when the lights go down and an in-built headphone connecting wearers to SMARTWiG radio - will be available exclusively to Blatchys ticket holders on at ANZ Stadium on June 21.

All tickets to Holden State of Origin Game II at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday 21 June include return travel on Sydney Trains, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses, regular Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries.

There will be frequent direct trains to Olympic Park. Fans are strongly encouraged to leave the car at home and take advantage of the numerous direct transport services in operation.
