Canberra interchange forward Joe Tapine has been ruled out for between four and five weeks after breaking a finger in his side's Round 1 loss to North Queensland.
Tapine has undergone surgery and won't return until at least Round at the earliest.
With Clay Priest suspended for Round 2 and Dave Taylor unavailable for selection until the following week, the timing of Tapine's injury is less than ideal, but will be offset by the return of prop Junior Paulo as the Green Machine welcome Cronulla to the nation's capital.
