NRL referees are put through an endurance and decision making test at ANZ Stadium.

Insurance company Youi has signed on as official partner for the NRL referees for the next two years.

Youi will feature on the major branding asset of the match officials across the NRL Telstra Premiership and major events.

The new deal aligns with the NRL's strategy to provide partners with unique opportunities to connect with a highly engaged audience.

NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo said Youi's desire to link with the referees program was a significant boost to the game.

"It's exciting for the NRL to work in collaboration with a dynamic brand renowned for their enterprising approach to insurance," Mr Abdo said.

"Our referees will be part of Youi's Make It Count marketing campaign which like us will be dedicated to supporting our match officials at all levels of the game."

NRL General Manager Officiating, Tony Archer, said it was extremely important for his officials to have the backing of a partner like Youi.

"This is a strong endorsement of our officials at all levels of the game," Mr Archer said. "Our officials work incredibly hard to get the best results possible so to have this support from Youi is extremely encouraging."

Youi's Group CMO Hugo Schreuder said: "Youi Insurance is proud to align our passion for supporting our clients with the passion of the NRL, the refs, the players and the fans.

"It's Youi's largest commitment to sponsorship to date and we look forward to being part of the NRL Family.

"Our sponsorship rallying cry, 'make it count', is something the NRL, the refs, the players, the fans, and all Youi employees strive to achieve every day."

Mr Abdo also acknowledged the significant investment and support of AAMI, the previous partner of the match officials.

"AAMI has been a long-term partner of the NRL match officials as well as the Country-City fixture, and in the process has been a great contributor to enhancing the status of our match officials from grassroots to the elite level," Mr Abdo said.
