Back-rower Jarrad Kennedy has been granted a release from the final year of his Raiders deal to join the Sea Eagles.

The Canberra Raiders have released forward Jarrad Kennedy from the final year of his contract to take up a contract with another NRL club.

Kennedy played 49 matches for the Raiders since making his debut in 2012. Kennedy was also part of the Raiders inaugural NYC team who claimed the title in 2008, scoring the match winning try in Golden Point extra time.

In 2016 Kennedy was an instrumental part of Mounties push to the Intrust Super Premiership Grand Final.

The Raiders would like to wish Jarrad all the best in the future.
