The Eels celebrate Danny Wicks's try against Cronulla on Saturday.

The Parramatta Eels are today pleased to announce the re-signing of prop Danny Wicks for a further two seasons until the end of 2018.

Wicks, 30, debuted for the Eels in 2015 and has fast become a club favorite passing the 100 NRL game milestone in Round 18 of this year against the Sydney Roosters.

"Danny has proven himself as a key member of our squad and it was important to us to secure him for a further two seasons," head coach Brad Arthur said

"We have a strong playing group and locking in members like Danny ensures we can build towards 2017 and beyond with confidence."

"I am stoked to be seeing my career out with Parramatta.  I have worked pretty hard and I am glad to be here," Danny Wicks said.

"It was a no-brainer. Obviously 'BA' played a big part and also having a good group of players."

Wicks’ re-signing comes shortly after the news Brad Arthur and Corey Norman had both signed on for a further three seasons, each until the end of 2019.
