Cronulla's quest for immortality came to an end on Monday night against a Titans side that is doing great things on the Gold Coast in 2016. Here are some of the key numbers from what will surely go down as one of the games of the season.

15 –
Cronulla's dreams of beating the Roosters' record of 19-straight wins in 1975 came to an end, although the men from the Shire will argue that they are yet to be beaten. Given how tight the competition is these days, it's hard to imagine seeing another team get close to the record any time soon.

1 – Number of draws the Gold Coast Titans have now had in the NRL era. The Wests Tigers are the only team to have not played out a 90-minute draw. Monday's result was the first time the Sharks had shared the points since they drew 14-all with the Roosters in 2012.

13 – The number of golden point games in 2016; a record for any season.

266 – Metres run by Greg Bird. Wade Graham (251) and Zeb Taia (226) also cracked the double-ton barrier.

54 –
Tackles made by Ryan James in his 62 minutes of action. Michael Ennis also reached his half-century with 51.

0 – The combined margin it took to end rugby league's two longest streaks in 2016. It took a draw to end Cronulla's 15-game streak in the NRL, and the Sharks were also involved in ending Penrith's 13-game unbeaten run in the Holden Cup with a 34-all draw in Round 18.

16 – The number of tries Valentine Holmes has scored in 2016 to sit just one behind Melbourne's Suliasi Vunivalu at the top of the try-scorers list.

3 –
The number of players to be sent to the sin bin against the Sharks this season. David Mead joined Will Chambers and Blake Ferguson last night after being sent for 10 minutes for a professional foul on Michael Ennis.

10 – The number of missed field goals last night. Ash Taylor was responsible for half of those, while James Maloney (three), and Ben Barba and Chad Townsend (one each) couldn't convert for the visitors.

17 – The number of golden point games Chris Heighington has played; a new NRL record.
