Storm coach Craig Bellamy is relishing the chance to face the Cowboys on Saturday night, and said it's easily his side's biggest game of the season to date.
Both sides sit equal top of the ladder with seven wins each, and Bellamy believes the Cowboys are playing as good as they were in their premiership-winning season of 2015.
"It doesn't feel like it [our biggest game], it is," Bellamy said.
"We haven't played the premiers yet and they're playing as well as they were last year when they won the competition, so it's a really big ask but our guys have been competing really well.
"We've played really tough in the games and have hung in there in tough times, so hopefully we can do the same on Saturday night."
The week off wasn't long enough for the Storm as they're still short in the outside backs position, with Marika Koroibete and Young Tonumaipea spending more time on the sidelines.
Cheyse Blair was the latest addition to an ever-changing backline in last weekend's win against the Titans, and Bellamy was impressed by the job that was done by his makeshift squad.
"They [Koroibete and Tonumaipea] won't play for a couple of weeks, we've had bare bones in that position for a couple of weeks now and nothing's changed," Bellamy said.
"It was nice to see Cheyse play well against the Titans, and Tohu Harris and Ben Hampton are doing a great job there too, with both playing out of position.
"Keeping two teams to zero is the first time that's ever happened at our club and that's a pretty big wrap for the players, especially considering we've got people playing out of position and a lot of young guys."
The Storm weren't without headlines during rep round as they acquired the services of Parramatta Eels outside back Ryan Morgan until the end of the season, with plans to involve the 26-year-old in the near future.
"[Injuries were] the reason we signed an outside back, and we were lucky enough to get Ryan," Bellamy said.
"I think it is a big ask to throw him in this week, so we'd like him to go an play a game up with one of our feeder teams and then go from there, but we certainly see him playing a part sooner rather then later."
The Storm face the Cowboys on Saturday night in Brisbane as part of a double header at Suncorp Stadium, and although Bellamy would rather have played the game at AAMI Park he's looking forward to playing in such a special arena.
"We'd much prefer as a playing group to be playing our home game here, but having said that the club has made that decision and it's a financial one, and it must be a pretty good financial one," he laughed.
"At the end of the day it's not all bad, we're playing at probably the best rugby league stadium in the world in Suncorp Stadium, so hopefully the boys are ready and up for it."
