The Warriors and Bulldogs have finalised a player swap, with Shaun Lane heading to Auckland and Raymond Faitala-Mariner moving to Belmore on a deal through to the end of the 2019 season.

Lane, who has signed a one-year contract with the Warriors effective immediately, made his NRL debut in 2015 but is yet to return to first grade thus far in 2016.

"Ray had been seeking a release but we weren't prepared to allow him to move until we were able to find a suitable replacement," said Warriors recruitment and development manager Tony Iro via a statement.

"In Shaun we have a player who brings the qualities we were after to strengthen our squad.

"We thank Ray for the contribution he has made to our club and wish him all the best for the future."

The Bulldogs also announced the signing of Wests Tigers back-rower Lamar Liolevave through to the end of the 2017 season.
