The Sharks blew their opportunity to finish the regular season in the top four when the Sea Eagles were able to hold out five failed try-scoring attempts to finish their season and cap off Geoff Toovey's time as head coach of the club. The Panthers were able to avoid the wooden spoon by smashing the Knights in captain Kurt Gidley's final game. The Roosters sent South Sydney into the finals limping off the back of a 30-0 smashing, while two golden point games ensured 2015 would end with a bang for the Raiders and the Dragons. The same could not be said for the Titans who were flogged in Townsville.
