The Broncos started the penultimate regular season round with a bang at the expense of the Rabbitohs. Their halves Ben Hunt and Anthony Milford combined for five tries, with the halfback Hunt securing his maiden NRL hat-trick. The Roosters produced a similar effort at Brookvale Oval without the help of Mitch Pearce and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. The Sharks left it late against Cronulla, the Knights pushed the Bulldogs to their limits and the Titans upset the Dragons. Robbie Farah responded to news he was unwanted by the Tigers in the best way possible by orchestrating a huge win over the Warriors, while the Raiders' victory over the Panthers ensured the mountain men would be fighting to avoid the wooden spoon in Round 26.
