Sharks five-eighth Ben Barba has taken the early guilty plea on two match review committee charges coming out of the game against the Melbourne Storm, and will miss two matches through suspension.

Barba was charged with a grade one dangerous throw on Storm centre Kurt Mann in the 27th minute of the match, and also grade one dangerous contact on winger Marika Koroibete in the 44th minute.

The charges mean he will miss Cronulla's upcoming games against the Titans and Roosters.

Newcastle prop Korbin Sims was also charged with two separate offences from the Knights' win over the Titans, and will miss two weeks after accepting the early guilt plea for both charges.

Wests Tigers winger Pat Richards accepted an early guilty plea and will miss one week (grade two dangerous contact – head/neck), while Raiders lock Shaun Fensom has pleaded not guilty to a grade one dangerous contact – head/neck charge and will front the judiciary on Wednesday night.

Joel Thompson (grade one dangerous contact – head/neck), Glenn Stewart (grade one dangerous throw) and Eddy Pettybourne (grade one high tackle – careless) all escaped suspension by taking early guilty pleas.
