Departing Bulldogs forward Dale Finucane has signed a three-year deal with the Melbourne Storm.

With two NRL grand finals under his belt, Finucane is a much-needed signing for Craig Bellamy's men after losing Ryan Hoffman (Warriors),  Bryan Norrie (retirement), Junior Moors (Super League), Mitchell Garbutt (Broncos) and George Rose (Dragons).

Having missed only one a single match since his debut in 2012, Finucane heads to the Storm with 66 games of experience to bolster their pack alongside fellow signing Tom Learoyd-Lahrs.

Bellamy said the 23-year-old was an "ideal" signing.

"After losing Bryan Norrie to retirement, we've been on the look-out for a player that can make an immediate impact in the middle," Bellamy said.

"Dale is an ideal replacement and the type of player we like at Storm. We actually spoke to him a few years ago about a potential move so I'm glad he's finally made the decision to join us."
