The VB NSW Cup Representative side has been officially named as they gear up to take on the Queensland Residents on July 9. To be played prior to Origin III at Suncorp Stadium, this fixture gives players from the lower grades a taste of what to expect from the big time.
Coached by former Parramatta and South Sydney first grade coach Jason Taylor, the New South Wales line-up will feature 11 players with NRL experience including notable additions Nathan Stapleton from the Newtown Jets/Sydney Roosters, Issah Yeo from the Penrith Panthers, Mounties/Canberra Raiders young gun Mitch Cornish and Jack Buchanan from the Wests Tigers.
The table-topping Panthers and the sixth-placed Mounties teams are both well represented in the NSW Residents squad with three and four players scheduled to play respectively ,while Newcastle, Wests Tigers and Newtown will have two players apiece.
