The result was no surprise when the Sea Eagles met the Eels at Brookvale Oval back in Round 17. Everyone expected the Sea Eagles to bolt in, and they did, scoring nine tries to two and winning 50-10.

What we didn't see coming however was the clash between Eels prop Mitchell Allgood and Sea Eagles centre Steve Matai.

The game had entered its final 10 minutes when Allgood produced a very enthusiastic swinging arm on Manly's Jamie Buhrer in a tackle. Allgood retired to the defensive line and Matai ran up to him to object. Allgood didn't wait to see what might happen next – he connected with several punches to Matai's face, cutting his lip.

Allgood finished the game in the sin-bin, and now the fans are waiting to see what happens when the pair meet again on Saturday.

The Sea Eagles ran roughshod over the Eels, racking up 1650 metres compared to 1048.

Winger Jorge Taufua ran for 214 of those metres and scored three tries. Ten Sea Eagles players ran for over 100 metres, but only two players managed to do the same for the Eels.
