The Tigers had the Storm in trouble before star halfback Cooper Cronk engineered a comeback in the Round 5 game at AAMI Park this season.

It was 6-all at halftime and 12-6 to the Tigers midway through the second half, before Cronk had a hand in a try to winger Mahe Fonua and then scored one himself before helping to create another try, for winger Sisa Waqa.

The home side literally stormed home to win 26-12 and keep their unbeaten start to the season going.

Fonua had a big involvement in the match, running for 163 metres. Waqa (124 metres), centre Will Chambers (125 metres) and fullback Billy Slater (122 metres) were also prominent, but one of the best performers was on the beaten side, where young prop Aaron Woods powered his way to 152 metres and had three offloads.

But the Tigers wilted in the end, and a 14-7 penalty count against them obviously didn’t help.
