Bulldogs coach Des Hasler has been trying to tell everyone for weeks that his side is not the benchmark of the competition, and now he seems to have a legitimate argument with the Sea Eagles taking out the Knights and securing their fourth straight victory.
Tonight on NRL Daily, host Brad Fittler runs his well trained eyes over the Sea Eagles' performance against the Knights and pencils them in as the new premiership favourites.
“They’re a red hot side and the premiership is for them to lose now,” says Fittler. “To state the obvious, they are all class.
“On Sunday their 17 was made up of 12 internationals, three Origin players, an Indigenous All Star and Jorge Tafua.”
While Fittler has his well-earned riding on the Sea Eagles to secure back-to-back premierships, he still thinks there is a way to beat them.
“Their archilles heal though, and excuse the pun, is that they struggle to keep everyone on the field,” he said. “Watching them yesterday they were dropping like flies. The only way that anyone will be able to beat them is if they pull out voodoo dolls, starting with the Kieran Foran voodoo doll because he looks like he is back in the mood and looking fit again.”
