After making it all the way to the Telstra Premiership Grand Final in 2011 the Warriors have experienced an indifferent 2012, even becoming the first club to lose two games in a row after leading 18-nil.

With their season on the line Warriors hooker Nathan Friend phones the NRL Daily studio to talk through his side's chances against the Sharks, who have also been struggling to find form.

“They’ve been missing players so you can’t read into their form of late, says Friend. Their halves have been great.”

“Weve just got to fix up a few bad reads in defence that we’ve done... more cover from the inside people who have been getting a bit lazy.”

One thing that has impressed Friend is the quality and skill level of the Warriors young guns.

“I’ve been impressed they are just natural athletes but a lot of the guys are really young," said Friend. "We’ve got guys in their mid 20s that have played 100 odd games. They get an opportunity really young over here."
