Origin representative Jamie Lyon knows reigning Premiers Manly need to step it up a notch if they hope to go back to back in season 2009.<br><br>Fresh off consecutive defeats to the Tigers and Rabbitohs, the Sea Eagles are in danger of losing touch with the serious contenders as the race for the top eight heats up.<br><br>“[We were] Very disappointing last night, we definitely need a couple more wins to stay in the eight,” Lyon admitted to BigPond Sports Weekend.<br><br>“We needed a good start and we finally got it. But things didn’t go to plan. We struggled for the rest of the game.”<br><br>“We were a bit rusty last night… we have got a bit of work to do.”<br><br>Lyon pin-pointed bulldozing backrower Anthony Watmough as essential to Manly’s premiership defence hopes.<br><br>"He’s been our best all season. He definitely lifts a lot of players around him.
