Biography

Cameron Smith is one of the most decorated players of all time. He is the only player to reach 400 matches, amassing an exceptional career which included 430 matches, all of them for Melbourne Storm between 2002 and 2020, 42 State of Origins for Queensland, and 56 Test matches for Australia (including 33 as Captain).

Smith scored 2786 points over the course of his career, including 1295 goals. He captained the Kangaroos to World Cup victory in 2013 and 2017.

A hooker who boasted extraordinary durability, instincts and awareness, determination and dedication, and above all incredible leadership traits, his success as a player meant he was rarely defeated, and he boasts records which are likely to never be repeated. He was Dally M Medallist in 2006 and 2017.
