Former Broncos greats Petero Civoniceva and Gorden Tallis will deliver early Christmas cheer tomorrow when they play ‘Secret Santa’ for lucky shoppers in a regional Queensland town.

Following Nathan Hindmarsh’s surprise visits to shoppers and hospital patients in Bathurst today, Civoniceva and Tallis will continue the NRL’s exciting Christmas initiative that will see Rugby League Ambassadors giving away vouchers and paying bills for unsuspecting locals in a variety of locations in regional NSW and QLD centres this week.

Next week NRL Clubs will join the celebrations with players also playing ‘Secret Santa’, hosting Christmas parties and performing other ‘random acts of kindness’ across the country and in Auckland New Zealand as part of a One Community and NRL Clubs joint initiative.

NRL General Manager of Community, Culture and Diversity, Ms Trish Crews said: “We’re really excited about bringing some Christmas cheer to a number of communities over the next couple of weeks.

“Christmas is such a fun time of the year and I know our Ambassadors and players will really enjoy the opportunity to say thank you to our fans and to bring a smile to their faces.”
