The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have stood down Jamil Hopoate, who will front the club's disciplinary committee next week.

The club said the NRL's integrity unit is aware of the club's decision and is continuing to monitor the situation.

The action follows news that the 19-year-old had been charged with assault over an alleged king hit of a man outside a northern beaches pub in Sydney on Saturday night.

The club said it will be making no further comment at this time.
