The Roosters made easy work of the Raiders in Round 4 of the NRL Telstra Premiership. Here are five key points to take from the match at Allianz Stadium.
Ferguson had no issues against his old team
There was a lot of hype around new Rooster Blake Ferguson playing his first game against his old team however he appeared to handle the situation with ease.
He had six tackle busts, two line-breaks and a try against the Raiders, constantly threatening their left-edge defence.
"He handled it well," coach Trent Robinson said after the game.
"Sometimes it can turn pear shaped. I've seen guys at different times over the years not play well against their old club whereas Blake did that."
"There's a lot of respect there for Canberra, he knows that he was the issue, it had nothing to do with Canberra... therefore it's easier to keep the emotion in check."
Ricky Stuart would love a few of the Roosters players
The Raiders at times have struggled to attract marquee talent down to Canberra. Not so the Roosters who possess star talent across the park.
"We all go 'wow' about that roster they've got and that's not from a jealousy point of view that's what I've got to aspire to," Stuart said after the match.
Stuart said it should be his objective to assemble a team of the calibre of the Roosters, if it wasn't he said he wouldn't be doing his job.
"That's where our aspiration has got to be," he said.
"There's my goal and the benchmark I have to set for my club.
"We've got to aspire to have that type of roster if we ever think we're going to be a top four team."
Mitchell Pearce has had a superb start to season 2015
After another huge performance against the Raiders, Mitchell Pearce has stamped himself as the in-form halfback over the first month of the NRL Telstra Premiership.
He had a hand in all of the Roosters first five tries, ending the match as the only back who didn't score a try for the Roosters.
Trent Robinson was glowing of Pearce's performance after the match.
"He was in control of our whole attack... so he had to keep us on track while we were trying lots of different stuff... and he did that well," Robinson said.
"I thought he's been really strong, the kicking he's had over the first month has been exceptional."
There's a bit of man love for Blake Ferguson at the Roosters
After another standout performance on the edge for Ferguson was once again the topic of conversation post-match.
Asked what he thought of Ferguson, Mitchell Pearce said he felt like a broken record talking about the positive impact the star centre has had around the club.
"He's a great bloke I've said it a couple of times, he's been massive for the club everyone loves being around him."
However Pearce said his affection for Ferguson does have its limits.
"I haven't kissed him yet," the half-back said.
The Raiders need to be more patient in attack
The Raiders pushed passes and threw desperate offloads far too many times in the first half when they were attacking the try line.
Dane Tilse was twice guilty of throwing away possession near the Roosters line to the obvious disappointed of Stuart who quickly hooked his starting prop without giving him another run.
"The first half we got down there seven times and didn't execute correctly," Stuart said.
"We dropped the ball five times out of the seven and you can't do that against that team."
Jarrod Croker was also disappointed by his teams handling following the loss.
"You give any team that much ball let alone a team like the Roosters they're going to make you pay and they did quite a few times," he said.
