The Canberra Raiders registered record growth across all digital and social media platforms in 2013, leading the NRL for Facebook fanbase growth despite missing out on the 2013 semi-finals.

The club's website and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts all exceeded previously recorded numbers.

The Raiders Facebook page recorded a 192% improvement to reach 60,120 likes in 2013, a major increase from the 20,581 at the end of 2012.

This increase was the biggest for any NRL club in 2013, with the New Zealand Warriors recording the second-largest growth with a 59% increase to their Facebook Likes.

Similar to the Raiders' Facebook growth, the Green Machine's standing in Twitter also increased remarkably this year with the club recording a 73.5% increase in followers, reaching 15,123 followers in 2013 compared to that of 8715 in 2012.

Instagram was a new introduction to the Raiders' social media landscape in 2012 and had 941 followers by the end of the year. By the end of the 2013 season, the Raiders had recorded a phenomenal 341% growth on Instagram, reaching 4150 followers.
