While Queensland held up the State of Origin shield after sealing their seventh series victory in a row, it was the NSW fans and players who reigned supreme in Toyota Origin Dream Team.

Over 34,000 Dream Team coaches submitted teams to face off in Toyota Origin Dream Team, with 13,623 teams coming from NSW and 10,111 from Queensland.

NSW hooker Robbie Farah again out tackled ever other player on the field in Origin III and in doing so scored the highest points for the match with a stellar 82. Farah's strong performances over the three-game series, including his tackling record in Origin II, gave him the edge over his team-mates and rivals as he topped the overal series points-scorers with 229 points. NSW captain Paul Gallen was Farah's closest Dream Team competitior with 179 points for the series, and Queensland captain Cameron Smith came in third with 168.

Taking out the $3,000 prize money was team 'Hitmen', coached by Dale Magnusson from Queensland. Team 'Hitmen' scored 1,614 total points for the series, 33 points clear of the second placed team. For Origin III, team 'Hitmen' consisted of Jarryd Hayne, Greg Inglis, Cooper Cronk, Paul Gallen, Robbie Farah and Corey Parker.
