NRL Casualty Ward: Round 11
Rabbitohs v Eels
Rabbitohs: With Greg Inglis on Origin duty, Alex Johnston will start in his preferred fullback role – a position he believes will be his long-term home. There is mail that Chris Grevsmuhl will play from the bench, despite being named in jersey 19.
Eels: Have you heard the one about Chris Sandow coming back from NSW Cup to take the Eels fullback position? With Will Hopoate involved in Origin, there could be a dramatic shake-up with Sandow playing at fullback and Reece Robinson playing on the wing. John Folau could be the man to drop out.
Wests Tigers v Cowboys
Wests Tigers: No changes expected.
Cowboys: Jason Taumalolo is back from a knee injury and should be a late inclusion in a massive boost for a North Queensland side down on troops thanks to Origin.
Raiders v Bulldogs
Raiders: Sam Williams returned to training this week after suffering a punctured lung and could be a late inclusion, but he might be given another week to fully recover.
Bulldogs: Coach Des Hasler has been typically evasive this week, don't expect the team to line up as named. James Graham and Chase Stanley are both likely to drop out of the side through injury; Herman Ese'ese could come on to the bench.
Knights v Broncos
Knights: Dane Gagai has been called into Queensland Origin camp, which could see a reshuffle of the Newcastle side with either Kurt Gidley or Sione Mata'utia likely to drop back into the fullback role. The Knights will hope Queensland fullback Billy Slater recovers from his shoulder injury, so that Gagai can return in time for their game with the Broncos. Gagai is also providing cover for Queensland centres Greg Inglis and Justin Hodges.
Broncos: Have been hit hard by Origin, but their spine has been relatively unaffected with Ben Hunt, Anthony Milford and Andrew McCullough set to call the shots as per usual.
