Sharks: NSW star Emma Verran has been named at fullback as she looks to return from a procedure to remove a melanoma in her back. Tiana Penitani Gray and young gun Annessa Biddle will start in the centres, with Georgia Hannaway partnering with former Titan Chantay Kiria-Ratu in the halves. Quincy Dodd will wear the No.9 jersey while Nakia Davis-Welsh is set to make an impact as the bench utility. Talei Holmes and Rhiannon Byers will start in the back row, with Brooke Anderson at lock. 

Eels: Rachael Pearson and Cassey Tohi-Hiku are set to link up in the halves for the season opener, with Abbi Church to line up at fullback. Captain Mahalia Murphy has been named in the reserves as she recovers from a hamstring injury however the Eels are taking a cautious approach with her return and she is unlikely to play. NSW star Kennedy Cherrington will miss the clash with a knee injury, with Boss Kapua also out injured. Elsie Albert and Breanna Eales have been named in the front row, with Rueben Cherrington at hooker. England international Paige Travis is set to make her NRLW debut in the back row.

Bulldogs: Halfback Tayla Preston and prop Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa will captain the Bulldogs in their inaugural NRLW match. Ash Quinlan will link up with Preston in the halves, while former Shark Andie Robinson has won the race for the fullback jersey. Young gun Alexis Tauaneai is set to line up as an edge forward alongside Latisha Smythe. Tegan Dymock, the daughter of Bulldogs premiership winner Jim, will continue the family's long association with the club when she starts at prop. 

Knights: Bo Vette-Welsh will start at fullback as Newcastle enter a new era in 2025. Joeli Morris is set to step into the No.9 jumper with Olivia Higgins suspended, while Jesse Southwell and Georgia Roche will play in the halves. Young gun Evah McEwen is set to start in the back row alongside experienced skipper Yasmin Clydsdale. Kayla Romaniuk will take on a greater role this year and will start at lock on Friday night.

Broncos: Tamika Upton will line up at fullback in her return to the Broncos and will co-captain the side alongside halfback Ali Brigginshaw. New Zealand star Gayle Broughton has been named at five-eighth, with Jada Ferguson rounding out the spine at hooker. Jillaroos star Julia Robinson is set to start in the centres for the first time since 2020, with Kerri Johnson and Hayley Maddick to line up on the wing. Young Maroons prop Keilee Joseph will lead the Brisbane pack while Romy Teitzel will look to make an impact as an edge-forward. 

Wests Tigers: Coach Brett Kimmorley has named a young halves duo of Evie McGrath and Losana Lutu as he looks to develop the next generation of future stars. Veteran Kezie Apps will provide crucial leadership for a forward pack also featuring Jillaroo Sarah Togatuki at prop and off-season recruit Pihuka Berryman-Duff at hooker. Queensland representative Emily Bass is set to line up in the centres in her first match for the Tigers.

Raiders: The off-season departure of Apii Nicholls has opened the door for Cheyelle Robins-Reti to shift to fullback, with Mackenzie Wiki and Leianne Tufuga  to start in the centres. Former Australian OzTag representative Georgia Thomas is set to make her NRLW debut, with the 27-year-old to line up at five-eighth alongside halfback Zahara Temara. Co-captain Simaima Taufa will start at lock with prop Grace Kemp looking to make an impact off the bench. 

Dragons: Kasey Reh and Raecene McGregor will combine in the halves as the Dragons look to get their season started with a win. Zali Hopkins will start at hooker, with new recruit Nita Maynard to make an impact off the bench in her first game for the club. Try-scoring talent Teagan Berry has been named at fullback, while Keele Browne and Bobbi Law will link up in the centres. Former Knight Hannah Southwell is set to add crucial experience to the pack and will start at lock.

Natasha Penitani has been handed the No.8 jumper in her first game for the club, with the Titans to be without Shannon Mato for the season due to pregnancy. Roosters: Corban Baxter is set for her first NRLW match since September 2023 after she missed all of last season with an ACL injury. The veteran has been named at five-eighth, with Jocelyn Kelleher at halfback. Jillaroos and Queensland star Tarryn Aiken has not been named as she recovers from a shoulder injury. Olivia Kernick will start at lock after a dominant performance for the Blues during the State of Origin series. NSW teammates Jess Sergis and Isabelle Kelly will again link up in the centres, while Keeley Davis is set to start at hooker. Jasmin Strange has shifted from the outside backs to the back row as she takes on a new role this weekend. 

Warriors: Fullback Apii Nicholls will lead the Warriors in their return to the competition, with Patricia Maliepo and Emily Curtain to combine in the halves. Olympic gold medallist Michaela Brake (nee Blyde) is set for her NRLW debut and has been named on the wing. Maroons young gun Emmanita Paki will line up in the centres, while Kiwi Ferns veteran Harata Butler will start at prop. New Zealand star Laishon Albert-Jones has been named at lock after joining the Warriors from the Knights in the off-season.
