Lachlan Croker wins Best and Fairest Award for 2022

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles hooker Lachlan Croker has claimed the Roy Bull 'Best and Fairest' Award for season 2022.

Croker was presented with the club's top honour by Coach Des Hasler at the Sea Eagles Presentation night at The Star on Monday.

The Roy Bull ‘Best and Fairest’ Award is named after Manly’s first international player. Bull played 22 Tests for Australia and 177 games at prop for Manly.

Croker had an incredible season in his 23 games, making 902 kicking metres, a staggering 943 tackles, and a career high 822 running metres.

The respected number nine also took home the Steve Menzies Medal for the Play of the Year for his superb 40/20 kick and two great tries against the Nth Qld Cowboys at 4 Pines Park in round 15.

In other awards presented, Kieran Foran was a popular winner of the NRL Players’ Player Award after the respected five-eighth played all 24 matches this season in his final year with the Sea Eagles.

Goal-kicking full-back/winger Reuben Garrick won the Club’s NRL Leading Point Scorer Award for the fourth consecutive year. Garrick recorded 162 points through 12 tries and 57 goals in 21 matches.

Garrick also took home the Club’s NRL Leading Try Scorer award with 12 tries after finishing one ahead of winger Christian Tuipulotu.

Tolu Koula capped off a superb debut season in the NRL by claiming the Ken Arthurson Rising Star Award. The exciting young centre showcased his speed and skills, finishing with six tries in his 20 games.

Captain and half-back Daly Cherry-Evans took out the Gordon Willoughby Medallion for Best Player as voted by the Manly Members. He also won the award in 2020.

The Doug Daley Club Person of the Year Award was presented to Event and Operations Manager, Shelley O'Malley. Shelley embraces the Club's core values in displaying integrity, accountability and authenticity in everything she puts her hand to and always with a smile.

Sean Keppie won the NRL Club Community/Wellbeing Award for a second consecutive year in recognition of his outstanding work with the Sunnyfield, Heroes with Ability, and What Ability Disability Services organisations.

Hard working forward Zac Fulton capped off his NRL debut season by claiming the Jake Trbojevic Rising Star award. The award is Manly’s Pathways award with players from Harold Matthews Cup, SG Ball Cup, and Jersey Flegg Cup eligible.
