Young centre Konrad Hurrell registered his first tryscoring treble as the Warriors blitzed the Titans 32-14 at Skilled Park in Round 18 last season.

Unfortunately for Hurrell, he had to leave the field with an ankle injury soon after scoring his third try early in the second half, but the Warriors went right on with the job without him.
The Titans were missing some star players and didn’t have enough game-breakers to drag them back into the game once the Warriors pulled away.

Against the Titans the Warriors enjoyed 56 per cent of possession and monstered 1491 metres to the opposition’s 1151 metres. The NZ-based side made eight line-breaks to the Titans’ three and completed 28 sets to the visiting team’s 16.

The Warriors had not shown enough killer instinct in previous matches, but this win got them into the top eight. It wasn’t for long though – they didn’t win again all season, losing eight games in a row to finish 14th on the ladder.
