It was all over at halftime when the Sea Eagles and Eels clashed at Brookvale Oval in Round 18 last season.

Manly carved their way through some flimsy defence with the greatest of ease, racing to a 34-0 lead at the break.

The second half, though, saw something of an Eels resurgence – as the final score of 40-24 reflected – but overall it was, according to Eels coach Stephen Kearney, just an “embarrassing” performance.

Manly’s dominant effort came on the back of almost 300 additional running metres as well as 11 line-breaks to six and nine fewer missed tackles.

David ‘Wolfman’ Williams, in particular, had a field day, scoring four tries in the dominant victory.
