The Dragons were considered a bit skinny up front in 2014, so the signing popular of big man George Rose as well as a bloke nicknamed 'The Butcher' is a fair way to beef up a forward pack.
Rose links with Paul McGregor's squad after an underwhelming stint with Melbourne, and will be joined by dreadlocked man-mountain Rulon Nutira from the Gundagai Tigers, with both forwards signing on one-year deals for 2015.
31-year-old Rose, who won a title in 2011 with Manly, will bring some welcome experience to the Red V's youthful pack having played 142 games with the Roosters, Sea Eagles and the Storm, as well as four appearances with the Indigenous All Stars.
“George has been playing NRL for nearly a decade and will provide valuable experience and depth to our forward-pack," McGregor said, as well as discussing the prospects of Nutira, a former Eels and Storm under-20's squad member.
“Rulon boasts a large frame which will complement that area of the squad and has a real desire to make the most of the opportunity provided to him by the club.”
The pair will join a host of recent signings including Rory O'Brien (Illawarra Cutters) and Eto Nabuli (Panthers) as McGregor continues to finalise his roster for 2015.
